Exciting things are taking off at AMAC Aerospace! The Swiss-based MRO and aircraft completions giant is spreading its wings in Turkey, announcing today that it’s expanding its Milas-Bodrum Airport (LTFE) facility. AMAC has secured a whopping 32,000 square meters (that’s eight acres for the curious!) of extra land to build hangars capable of handling widebody aircraft, along with new technical and administrative spaces.
Construction plans are underway, and once the blueprints are finalized, AMAC is set to break ground pronto. If all goes as planned, this impressive new facility will be fully operational by 2026. The Bodrum center will be modeled after AMAC’s flagship facility at Basel Airport, so you can expect some serious aviation magic to happen here.
AMAC, which has been making waves since its launch in 2007, is no stranger to the world of aircraft completions and MRO services, with expertise across a wide range of aircraft types—especially those big widebodies. In Turkey, AMAC already has a strong presence at Istanbul Atatürk International Airport, where it supports Dassault Falcons, as well as Pilatus PC-12 turboprops and PC-24 jets.
But that’s not all! AMAC’s empire also includes Amac Corporate Jet in Zurich, a charter and management arm operating a fleet of 12 jets, and JCB Aero in France, which specializes in some seriously cool composite and carbon fiber manufacturing.
According to AMAC’s Executive Chairman and CEO Kadri Muhiddin, this expansion at Bodrum is more than just good for business—it’s going to bring significant social and economic benefits to the local area. So, buckle up, because AMAC is flying high and ready to make a big impact in the Turkish aviation scene!
